The Ritual ("we", "our", or "the App") is a habit tracking app operated by Subash Luitel Sharma. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use The Ritual.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

• Email address (used for authentication)
• Display name (optional)
• Avatar icon and theme color preferences (optional)

App Content You Create

• Habits you track (name, icon, schedule, XP values, reminder time)
• Habit completion logs and numeric tracking values
• Photo proof of habits (stored in encrypted cloud storage)
• GPS location for location-based habits (only when you check in)
• Time capsule messages you write to your future self

Device & Usage Information

• Device type and iOS version (for compatibility)
• Time zone (for scheduling reminders correctly)
• App usage logs (for diagnostics and improving the app)

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information solely to:

• Provide the core habit-tracking functionality
• Sync your data across your devices
• Send you reminders and notifications (if enabled)
• Diagnose issues and improve the app

We do NOT:

• Sell your personal data
• Share your data with third-party advertisers
• Track you across other apps or websites
• Use your data for advertising

3. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase (PostgreSQL) with industry-standard encryption in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. Photo proof is stored in encrypted Supabase Storage buckets accessible only to you.

Biometric authentication (Face ID / Touch ID) is processed locally on your device — we never receive or store your biometric data.

4. Third-Party Services

The Ritual uses the following services:

• Supabase (authentication, database, storage) — privacy policy
• Apple Push Notification Service — for sending reminders

We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.

5. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your data (visible in the app at all times)
• Delete your account and all associated data (email contactsubaz@gmail.com)
• Export your data on request

6. Children's Privacy

The Ritual is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
